The LIVE-LOCATOR allows to visualize the locations of moving objects (like cars, goods, persons, animals, etc.), which are equiped with locating sensors, on an interactive map. The locations shown on the map can be the real-time locations of the objects or it can be 'historical' tracks of a defined period of time. With the LIVE-LOCATOR you can define virtual zones (so called 'geofences') in order to automaticaly generate events when an object enters or leaves that zone. These events can be stored into a database or can be used to trigger other actions like an e-mail, SMS, twitter or RSS message or whatever could be useful to support your business processes. The only things you need to use the LIVE-LOCATOR are a location sensor unit for indoor or outdoor location measurement (e.g. based on GNSS, Wifi oder RFID) and a possibility to send this location information to the LIVE-LOCATOR-Server (e.g. GSM/GPRS or WiFi). ATTENTION: If you plan to work with person-related location data, the accordant regulations for data protection and data privacy have to be considered!
